Drilling and Column Pipe Installation Rules
Drilling and Column Pipe Installation Rules
- Well drilling - drilling and pipe - pump installation operations should be carried out by qualified and expert persons with professional competence and equipment.
- Under no circumstances should the wells be cleaned and developed by giving high air pressure with a compressor.
- PVC Drilling Pipes are required to comply with TS11794 standard.
- A ground survey should be carried out before drilling a borehole.
- Drill pipe and column pipe should be selected according to the pump to be used. The diameter of the well to be drilled must be suitable for the drill pipe.
- Pipes should not be hit against each other and the ground. They should not be dragged away.
- Pipes should be checked before being lowered into the well and defective pipes should not be used.
- Pipe male thread covers should not be removed until the moment of installation.
- During installation, the threads of the pipes should be smeared with soft soap to facilitate grooving.
- Grease and similar oils should not be applied to the threads of the pipes during installation.
- When grooving the pipes, a rubber tightening wrench should be used.
- Wrenches that can damage the pipe such as chain wrenches should not be used while grooving the pipes.
- If drill pipes get stuck while lowering into the well, they should not be continued. Pipes should be removed and lowered after re-dredging with drilling tools.
- In order for the drill pipes to stand upright in the well, they should be pulled up and suspended at least 10 cm after they touch the bottom.
- Graveling should be done slowly and evenly around the pipe to avoid bridging during graveling.
- The submersible pump should be installed below the dynamic level.
- Submersible pumps should be positioned above the level of the filtered pipe. Otherwise, the submersible pump may draw in sand and the pipelines on the surface may be damaged in a short time.
- The pump column pipe should be fixed on the metal stand pipe, not on the drill pipe
